Obituary	GEORGE SWANTON DEXTER — This town’s oldest male citizen, George Eugene Swanton, 94, died in a local nursing home Saturday following a long illness. He was born here April 24, 1874, the son of Seth and Drusilla (Coakley) Swanton. He graduated from Dexter High School, and was a 50-year member of Dexter Masonic Lodge. He had been a cattle dealer In the Dexter area for many years, and at one time was employed at Hall’s Canning Factory. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alice Swanton of Dexter; one son, George of Westford, Mass.; one daighter, Mrs. Eugenia Horton of North Waterford, Mass.; one granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be at the Crosby Funeral Home Mondayat 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. John FJ McNally Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery next spring.
