CHARLES S. BREWSTER DEXTER — Charles S. Brewster, 81, died at a local hospital early Saturday morning after a long illness. He was born here Feb. 19, 1886, the son of William B. and Carrie (Bridges) Brewster. Brewster attended Hebron Academy. He served in World War One, spending some time on the Mexican border. He was associated with his father in the grocery business here until 1942. He had served as selectman here, was superintendent of he Dexter Water Department until his retirement, and was a mem!er of the governor’s staff in 192428. Brewster was married to the late Gladys Ayer. He is survived by three sons, Wendell of South Paris, William of Smyrna Mills, Gerald of Charleston, N. C.; one daughter, Margaret Lyman of New York City; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren1 and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m.
