Obituary
Funeral Rites Held For Ross B. Burrill Funeral services for Ross B. Burrill, 78, who died last Friday afternoon in the Plummer Hospital following a short illness, were conducted Monday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Macomber of the Free Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Bearers were: Norman W. Quimby, Charles M. Coy, Charles S. Brewster, all of Dexter, and John Withington of Waterville. Dexter's veteran plumber, Mr. Burrill was engaged in the plumbing and sheet metal business over 50 years. Before coming to Dexter he conducted a similar business in Waterville. Several days prior to his death he was removed to the hospital following collapse at the Gazette building where he had his shop. His wife, the former Adelaide Reed, died in February. Mr. Burrill was born in Corinna, July 23, 1876, son of Hiram and Mary (Evans) Burrill. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dorris Hescock, Hampton, N. H.; one son, Kenneth, of Kittery; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and a brother of Salt Lake City, Utah.
