DEXTER — Albert Thomas Baskett, 65, died at a local bos-. pital Wednesday morning following a long illness. He was born here July 24, 1900, son of Thomas . and Mary (Swanton) LaFontaine Baskett. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and the Eagle Club of Skowhegan. For more’ than 23 years he had been a hotel owner, first of the Sterling Hotel, here, then for seven years of the Crescent Hotel at wateryule, later purchasing the SkoWhegan House and the Melborne at Slcowhegan. Previously be had been a weaver in Dexter mills and had been in auto sales. He lived at his Cedar Street borne, here, where he was cared for by his cousin, Mrs. Miilie Trundy. He is survived by three aunts, an uncle and several cousins. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church here, the Rev. Gas-’ ton Auger officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends• may caU at Crosby Funeral Home, Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
