Obituary	MARY M. (PEAKES) GRAEF DEXTER - Mary M. (Peakes) Graef, 87, passed away June 16, 2011 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born August 30, 1923 in St. Albans, a daughter of Thomas and Frances (Eaton) Peakes. She, as a military wife, traveled throughout the world on various tours of duty. Upon returning to Maine, she sold Avon and published a MLSMaine Listing Service for local realtors and appraisers. Mary was an avid animal lover and supported many animal causes. She particularly enjoyed her dog, Robin and cat Kitless. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Major Lewis F. Ames; her 2nd husband M. Sgt. Jerry W. Graef in 1993; a son, Frederick M. Ames; a brother, Thomas Peakes, Jr.; and a sister Elizabeth Houle. She is survived by 2 sons, Rex- ford Ames of Arizona and Randy Ames of Wyoming; 2 brothers, John Peakes and James Peakes, both of St. Albans; many grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
