HARRY E. MERROW Harry E. Merrow, 73, passed away suddenly from a heart ailment at his home Wednesday night. Funeral services were held Saturday at the United Church with the pastor, the Rev. Henry H. Hansen, officiating. The bearers were six past masters of Abner Wade Lodge, Alex Carter, Glyndon Palmer, Chester Moulton, Reginald Ruland, George Leighton, Earl Humphrey. Entombment was at Guilford cemetery to await spring burial in the family lot in Sangerville village cemetery. Mr. Merrow was born in Pittsfield Nov. 5, 1880, the son of Clarence and Fanny (Friend) Merrow. The family moved to Sangerville 57 years ago. He married Miss Blanche Davis, March 2, 1904. Mr. and Mrs. Merrow were to have observed their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday. He was engaged in the woolen industry all his life, retiring about two years ago. He was boss finisher in Sangerville, Dexter, and Guilford mills many years. Mr. Merrow was a past master of Abner Wade Lodge, F. & A. M., 3207 and a past patron of Susie Carr Chapter, OES. He had received a life membership pin in the Masonic order. Always active in church work, he was a member of the Universalist church of Sangerville, and was president of the United Church parish at his death. He is survived by his wife; by a daughter, Mrs. Everett Barrett; by two grandchildren; by three brothers, George of Dexter, Clifford of Sangerville, and Alton of St. Albans; by nieces, nephews and cousins. Out-of-town people here attend the funeral Saturday were: George Merrow, Arthur Barron, Vern Jewell and Mrs. Libbie Gordon, all of Dexter; Mr. and Mrs. Alton Merrow, Mrs. Charles Estes, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Andeson, all of St. Albans; William Levensalor, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Wiley, Mrs. Sarah Crommett, Mrs. Mina Folsom of Dover-Foxcroft; Colby Folsom of Derby; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Barrett, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Barrett, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight York of Clinton; Mrs. Amelia Blanchard of Blanchard.
