Obituary	Mrs. Effie M. Sawtelle Mrs. Effie M. Sawtelle, 40, wife of Lloyd Sawtelle, passed away Thursday morning. September 10, after a long illness. She was born in Charleston, the daughter of Alson and Nancy Libby Ramsdell and for the past twenty four years has resided in Dexter and Corinna. She attended the Garland schools. Funeral services were held from the old Sawtelle homestead on the Ridge Road Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Ondon Stairs officiating. There were many beautiful flowers, silent tributes of respect, from relatives and friends. Interment was at Corinna Center cemetery and the bearers were Winfield Frost, Theodore Inman, Eugene Lanpher, and Wallace Towle. Surviving are her husband, two sons Sgt. Alson Lancaster of the U. S. Army Yeoman Dana Lancaster, of the U. S. Navy Recruiting Service; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Martin of Bangor, Mrs. Ethel Knight, of Garland; a brother, Newton Ramsdell, of Garland; two aunts, Mrs. Georgia Lovejoy, of Charleston, and Mrs. Eugene French of Garland; two uncles, Ai Libby of Orono and Henry Libby of Charleston, also nieces and nephews and several cousins. Among those from away attending the funeral services were Dana Lancaster of Chicago; Mrs. Stella Pease, Brewer; Mrs. Anna. Martin, Bangor; Ai Libby, Orono; Mrs. Georgia Lovejoy, Mrs. Clyde Lovejoy, Miss Mildred French, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Libby, Charleston; Mr. and Mrs. Orman French, Woodland; Elledge Sawtelle and Mrs. Augusta Marble of Shirley.
