Obituary	FRANCES H. SHANK DEXTER, ME - Frances Hoffman Shank, widow of Roy Alfred Shank, died February 13, 2009, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital after a brief illness. She was 93. Born in Coatesville, PA, on May 7, 1915, she was the daughter of Clayton Charles Hoffman and Eva Bessie Jordan Hoffman of Coatesville. She graduated with the Class of 1933 from Coatesville High School. She was happy as a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed raising canaries in her younger years, and oil and watercolor painting her entire life. She very much enjoyed raising flowers. She is survived by her only child, Robert Hoffman Shank, and his wife, Janice Small Shank, of Dexter; also her grandchildren: Tristan Hoffman Shank of Bangor, Nicholas Robert Shank of Bangor, Jordan Elizabeth Shank of Brewer, and India Victoria Shank of Dexter; also a half-sister, Ruth Mowday of Coatesville. She was pre-deceased by one sister, Myrtle Gillespie of Coatesville; also one half-sister, Edna Warren of Coatesville; and four brothers: Clayton Leroy Hoffman, Harry Charles Hoffman, Elmer Thomas Hoffman, and John Amos Hoffman; and two half-brothers: Raymond Herman Henderson and Robert Charles Henderson; all of PA. Her husband, Roy, died in 1984. They had been married nearly 49 years, living most of their lives in Coatesville and Corner Ketch, PA, before retiring to Maine in 1974. A Family Service will be held prior to interment in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft. Arrangements by Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft.
