Services Held For Hambrecht Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Oct. 8, at the Crosby Funeral Home at Dexter for Gordon L. Hambrecht, 66, who died unexpectedly early Saturday morning at his home on Liberty st. The Rev. S. McK. Gardner of Brownville, vicar of the Episcopal Church, officiated. Bearers were Theodore Mauntain, Richard Reid, Llewellyn Small, John Kortecamp, Sr., Bernard Morancie and George Willard, all of Dexter. Honorary bearers were George D. Everett of Bangor, I. Ralph Leighton, Henry S. Larsen, Clarence H. Crosby, Clarence Harrington, .Sr., Robert Bradford, William Spencer, F. H. Bassett,Jr., Ralph Batson, Hovey Harmon and Cyril Pooler, all of Dexter, Interment was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, where military , services were held by members of Poulliot-Seavey Post, American Legion. He was born at Swampscott, Mass., August 30, 1896, son of the late John M. and Delia (Hart) Hambrecht. He was educated in the schools of that town. He was employed with the Civil Conservation Corps in Vermont and Connecticut before coming to Dexter to work for the National Youth Ad- ministration. He remained with the N. Y. A. until 1946 when he entered the employ of the Fayscott Corp., as chef-steward at the former Sawyer House, now the local nursing home, and at the present Fayscctt Lodge. Mr. Hambrecht was a member of Poulliot-Seavey Post, American Legion of Dexter. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Antoinette (Poulin) Hambrecht; four sons, Edward of Jacksonville, Fla., William, Peter and Philip, all of Dexter; four daughters, Mrs. Patricia Habermeyer of Sunnyvale, Calif., Mrs. Elaina J.obnson of Waltham, Mass., Miss Kay Hambrecht of Brockline, Mass., and Susan Hambrecht of Dexter; three brothers, Philip of Portland, Ore., George of Medford, Mass., and Grover of Bradford, N. H.; nine grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
