Obituary	RONALD MARTIN LANCASTER DEXTER and El PASO, TX- On August 11, 2008, in El Paso, Texas, Ronald Martin Lancaster died after a courageous battle against cancer. Born March 8, 1935 in Dexter the son of the late Harald (Dutch) and Gwendolyn (Russell) Lancaster, he spent his youth there and graduated from Dexter High School, Class of 1953. Upon graduation, he attended Nichols Junior College and the University of Mexico in Mexico City. He served a tour of duty in the US Navy. Upon discharge, he worked for several years as an insurance adjuster in the Bangor area and acquired a medical specialty as a licensed chiropractor. However, he could not resist the lure of military life and he reentered the service in the US Air Force. He eventually transferred to the US Army from which he retired. His retirement years were spent in Mexico, where he became a local entrepreneur in farming, retailing and the restaurant business. He could be counted on to perennially visit his friends and family in the local area during the Dexter High School reunion festivities. Ron is survived by his wife Manuella, living in Durango, Mexico; a daughter Lisa Lancaster of Hallowell; his sister Beverly Goldstone of Dexter; and a grand daughter Rhiannon Vigue of Hallowell, the mother of his great-grandson David.
