Harry Goodwin Harry Goodwin, a former resident of Dexter, died suddenly in Waterville at his late home, and funeral services were held at the Redington funeral home by the Rev. Warner T. Gifford, with a very large attendance of friends and many beautiful floral tributes. Mr. Goodwin was section foreman for the Maine Central Railroad. when making his home in this town and shortly before his death he had completed forty-seven years of faithful service with the company. He came to Dexter in 1900 and remained here for sixteen years, then being transferred to the main line with headquarters in Waterville. Before being assigned to the Dexter section he spent five years in the employ of the Maine Central in Lincoln and three in Frankfort. Mr. Goodwin was a member of Plymouth Lodge, I. 0. 0. F., Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge, Penobscot Lodge, F. and A. M., and of Wassookeag chapter, 0. E. S., of Dexter and was always interested in the fraternal activities being a regular attendant at lodge meetings. He leaves many friends in this community who regret his passing. Surviving are his wife, Clara Ripley Goodwin; two sons, Leon F. and H. Francis of Waterville; two brothers, James A. of Millinocket, and Frederick of Upton, Mass., also four grandchildren in Waterville and one nephew in Millinocket.
