Obituary	MRS. MYRA D. McKECHNIE Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Crosby Funeral Home for Mrs. Myra D. McKechnie, 88, who died last Friday morning at the Plummer Hospital after a long illness. The Rev. J. Robert Bath of the Universalist Church officiated. Bearers were: Weston Sherburne, Wayne Sawtelle, Everett and Wendell Pullen, all of Dexter. Interment was in Alton. The widow of Fred A. McKechnie, she was born in Bangor, on March 10, 1865, daughter of Daniel and Myra (Conant) Dunham. Prior to moving to Dexter about 50 years ago, she lived in Old Town and Alton. For a time, Mrs. McKechnie was local correspondent for The Bangor Daily News. A charter member of the local Women's Christian Temperance Union, she served as its president for many years. She attended the First Universalist Church. She is survived by an adopted daughter, Mrs. Ruth Cronks, of Watertown, Mass., several nieces and nephews.
