Obituary	HARLAN E. HARRINGTON NEW PORTLAND — Harlan E. Harrington, 64, died Jan. 25 at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was born Jan. 24, 1908 at Parkman, the son of Ernest L. and Anna May (Packard) Harrington. He was educated in Dexter schools. He married Merle E. Jellison Feb. 25,1930, at Dexter. He served as machinist apprentice at Faye-Scott Machine Shop in Dexter. He was a machinist at Bath Iron Works until retirement four years ago. They moved to New Portland in 1968 where he owned and operated a filling station. He was a member and past master of Enterprise Grange 48 of Richmond and was a Maine Guide for years in the Moosehead Lake area. Besides his widow, he is, survived by one daughter, Mrs. Albert Hanson, both of New Portland; one son, Douglass of Dresden; six grandchildren. ; Fuineral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 3 Court St., Farmington. Friends, may call at the funeral home 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the spring at the East New Portland Cemetery.
