RAYMOND H. PAQUETTE DEXTER - Raymond H. Paquette, 66, died at a local hospital Feb. 11 after a long illness. He was born Feb. 16, 1907, at Woonsocket, R.I., the son of Joseph and Olivia (Normandin) Paquette. He served in the Merchant Marine. In 1952, he and his wife opened the Traveler's Grill at Pittsfield. In 1957, they moved to Dexter, where they opened the Country Kitchen Restaurant. He built the 45th Parallel Diner, which they operated until his retirement due to ill health. He is survived by his wife, Madalyn; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Gilbert, (Pamela) Lima, South Attleboro, Mass.; two brothers. Dr. Norman Paquette, Winchester, Mass., and Roland Paquette of Taunton, Mass.; one sister, Mrs. Leo (Evelyn) Connolly, Woonsocket, R.I.; one grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, the Rev. Andrew Spohrer officiating.
