Obituary	Mrs. Doris Eldridge Chadbourne Again our community is called to mourn the loss of one of our dear young people. Mrs. Doris Eldridge Chadbourne gave birth to a baby boy in Plummer Memorial hospital, Dexter last Thursday -night, May 23rd, and passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 28th. Mrs. Chadbourne was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eldridge ,of this town a graduate of Dexter High school and a year ago completed a nurse's training course at Eastern Maine General hospital, Bangor, and soon after was married to Carlton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Chadbourne of Harmony. They resided in Bangor a while, where Mr. Chadbourne had employment. On account of poor health he gave up his work there and they have been living the past few months with his parents in Harmony. Doris was about twenty-four years old and besides her parents, she leaves an older sister, Mrs. Victor Chadbourne, of this town and three brothers, Colby, Cecil and Harold, besides many more distant relatives, and a host of friends, who will deeply regret that her cheerful smile and pleasant word will greet them no more. Her grandmother, Mrs. Townsend, died May 13th, and her. funeral services were conducted from the Eldridge home May 16th. Our hearts go out in deepest sympathy to this grief stricken family, praying, that He who clothes the lilies and marks the sparrow's fall, will comfort as none other can. Doris was a member of our church and grange.
