ROBERT P. TREMBLAY DEXTER - Robert P. Tremblay, 75, died November 6, 2007. He was born April 23, 1932 at Dexter a son of Charles and Vera (Harris) Tremblay, Sr. He graduated from Dexter High School, attended the University of Maine at Farmington, received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Husson College, and received a Master's Degree from the University of Maine, Orono. Bob served during the Korean War as a Sergeant in the U. S. Army. He began his teaching career in Port Clyde and Tenants Harbor, where he fell in love with the sea, a passion that stayed with him for the rest of his life. He later taught business at Bangor High School and, after receiving his Master's Degree, served as the school guidance counselor until retiring in 1987. Bob was a communicant of St. Annes Catholic Church and was a longtime choir member. He was a 4th degree member of the Cardinal Merrier Council 2625, Knights of Columbus and was a member of the Poulliot-Seavey Post 53 American Legion. He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and was a past board member of the Dover-Foxcroft YMCA. Bob held a deep appreciation of art and was an accomplished artist in his own right. He knew a number of well-known artists along the Maine coast and he also traveled extensively around the world. He is survived by a brother, Charles and wife Betty Tremblay; nephew Michael and wife Tina, and their children Darci and Hali Tremblay, all of Newport; as well as several cousins. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday, November 10th, at St. Annes Church, Dexter, with the Rev. Father James Robichaud officiating. Interment will be in Mt.
