Obituary	BEAUFORD ELLEN (PATTERSON) LOWELL DEXTER- Beauford Ellen (Patterson) Lowell, 86, passed away on February 19, 2008, at Country Manor in Coopers Mills after a long illness. She was born in Sherman to Vernon S. and Pearle M. Joy Patterson on April 20, 1921. Beauford was a small child when the family moved to a farm in Saint Albans. She was one of a family of 5 children, with two sisters and two brothers. Beauford married Eugene B. Lowell on July 22, 1945, and he predeceased her February 12, 2007. Beauford worked at bookkeeping and general office work for many years. Prior to World War II, she worked at Fayscott Landis Machine in Dexter, and during the war, at the U.S. Navy Department in Washington, D.C. After the war, she worked at several businesses in Dexter, including Fayscott Landis Machine, Dexter Shoe Company, and the Eastern Gazette. She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Dorcas Ellen Chance of Round Rock, TX and Carolyn Judith Tibbetts of Camden; a sister Adele Stedman, of Hartland; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. At her request, there will be no funeral. A memorial service will be held at a later date with the date and time to be published.
