Mrs. Charles W. Curtis The Death of Mrs. Charles W. Cur- Tis occurred very suddenly at her home on Spring street last evening at about 8 o’clock. Mrs. Curtis had been in Her usual health up to Saturday, when she was taken ill with an attack of indigestion.The immediate cause of her death was a stroke of apoplexy. Her age was about 80 years and for many years she was a resident of Dexter. Previously to her mar- riage to Mr. Curtis she was for some Time a missionary to Japan, and on her return to this country she brought with her two Japanese girls who made their home with her and were edu- cated in the Dexter schools. Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Ada Barr of Omaha, Neb., and a Son, Charles Veile of Taylorsville, N. C. The funeral arrangements have not yet Been announced. 1914
