Mrs. Norman Capen News of the death of Mrs. Elsie Capen, wife of Norman Capen of Dexter, reached here Wednesday forenoon as a distinct shock to her many friends. Mrs. Capen went to Bangor Monday and underwent a surgical operation Tuesday, passing away Wednesday forenoon. The re- mains were brought to Dexter Wed- nesday afternoon by Galen R. Ram- say, local undertaker, and are at ;the Capen home on Fay Court. Mr. Ca- pen accompanied his, wife to Bangor and remained with her. The deceased was born in Lakeview 33 years ago, attended Milo schools, Higgins Classical Institute and sum- mer school at Farmington Normal school. She has taught in Dexter for the past eight years except for a short time when they were living in Ban- gor. This year she has been teaching the seventh grade, Spring street school. Besides her husband she leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Heath, of Milo and several half brothers and sisters in that town, Arthur and Winfield Heath and Mrs. June Fowler. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2, from the Universalist church, Rev.W.J. Metz officiating.
