Obituary	Augustus Pooler Augustus Pooler, 77, a wellknown and highly respected local retired bus- iness man passed away this morn- ing at his home on Maple street, fol- lowing a long illness. He was born in St. Victor Detring, Canada August 2, 1865 and came to Dexter with his parents, as a boy of twelve years. He was married forty- five years ago to Miss Sadie Pooler of this town. For fifty-two years he was in the clothing .business on Main street hav- ing been employed by F. D. Meigs eight years, by Nelson E. Meigs for thirty years and by W. W. Gates for ten years. Before retiring from ac- tive business he was in partnership with Edward Mountain for four years. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic church. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Geneva) Dyer of Dex- ter; four sons, Lawrence of Newport, R. I., Raymond of South Portland Lieut. .Francis of Camp Claiborne, La. and Bernard of Bucksport, also fifteen grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
