KILLED IN VIETNAM First - Lt. Thomas E. M. Gray, Jr., 37, of the U. S. Army in Viet- nam was hilled in action Friday, little more than a month before his service was due to end. He was the husband of the former Miss Dorothy 'Bradford, until re- cently a resident of Dexter. During his tour of duty she had visited him for a week in Japan. Lt. Gray was born at Johnstown, Pa., Dec. 22, 1S39, the son of Col. Thomas E. M. Gray, ST., and Margaret (Haydon) Gray. He was graduated from the Uni- versity of Maine in 1964, where he had been a member of the Re- serve Officer Training Corps. He wag employed by the St. John- Valley Time's in Madawaska be- fore going on active duty with the U.S. Army. Lt. Gray volunteered for service in Vietnam and arrived there in April of 1966 after being stationed at Fort Hood, Tex. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy (Bradford) Gray of Cam- den, formerly of Dexter; his par- ents at Brookline, Mass.; a pa- ternal grandmother, Mrs. Wilmer Gray, Richmond, Va.; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Edward Hay- don, Claremont, Fla.; a niece and nephew.
