MRS. INEZ CROSBY CAMDEN — Mrs. Inez (Sedg- wick) Crosby, 89, died April 2 at a Camden hospital. She was the widow of Herbert C. Crosby. Born at Dexter Oct. 24, 1881, she was the daughter of Mat- thew and Mary Sedgwick. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Camden for 35 years and served as treasurer on the board of trust- ees for 25 years. She was a past president of the WSCS of the church. Mrs. Crosby served as presi- dent of the Rebekah Assembly of Maine in 1920 and was president of the International Association of Rebekah Assem- blies in 1950. She was a member of the Maiden Cliff Rebekah Lodge of Camden, and served on the study commission for the Sovereign Grand Lodge for the IOOF. A memberof the Seaside Chapter, OES, Camden, Mrs. Crosby served as past worthy matron. She was a member of the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, the B e t h 1 e he m Shrine, Knox-Lincoln Associa- tion of Past Noble Grands. She was a trustee of the home for aged women of Camden. Mrs. Crosby was a past presi- dent of the Maine Association Ladies Auxiliary Patriachs Mili- tant. She served at one time on. the Republican State Commis- sion. She is survived by a cousin, Clyde V. Nichols of Pittsfield. Funeral services will be held at the Camden Methodist Church Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Ronald H. Stead officiating.. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
