HARLAND C. SAWTELLE Harland C. Sawtelle, 58, of 11 Simpson Avenue, died unexpec- tedly at his home Sunday morn- ing. He was born June 22, 1908, in Dexter the son of Ralph and Francis Doolin Sawtelle. His wife, Beatrice, died in March of 1966. Mr. Sawtelle was a member of the Winslow Congregational parish, the Fairfield American Legion, Waterville Lodge F & A. M., and the Waterville Odd Fellows. He had been employed by Scott Paper Company and Hol- lingsworth- Whitney Co. for ov- er 25 years, retiring in 1962. He was a Navy veteran of World War Two. Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Francis Fallon , Winthrop, Mass.; three sons, Gy - Sgt. Frederick H. Saw- telle, USMC, Washington, D . C.; Ralph A. Sawtelle, West Memphis, Ark .; David W. Saw- telle, Farmington: four daugh- ters, Mrs. Barbara A. Michaud, Miss Eleanor L. Sawtelle, Mrs. Margaret H. Michaud, all of Winslow, Mrs. Pauline F. White, North Vassalboro; one brother, Yale D. Sawtelle, Win- throp, Mass.; and 12 grandchil- dren. . Funeral services will be held at the Winslow Congrega- tional Church Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. John R . Calhoun, pastor, officating. Friends may call at the Red- ington Funeral Home, 5 Park Street, between 3-5 and 7-9 p. m. today. Burial will be In the Village Cemetery, North Vassalboro.
