Dr. Reid Willis Dexter native, dies in Florida PORT CHARLOTTE, FLA. — Word has been received of the death of Reid A. Willis, D.D.S., 27, who collapsed suddenly Nov. 26 and died a short while later at Medical Center Hospital, Punta Gorda, Florida. According to reports. Dr. Willis had been suffering from bronchial pneumonia which he apparently thought was a cold, and collapsed while playing soccer. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman 0. Willis of Dexter, he was born in Middleboro, Mass., attended schools in Harmony, and graduated from Assump- tion College, Worcester, Mass. He was also a graduate of Georgetown University Dental School. He moved to Florida a year ago from Washington, D.C., and was a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and Kings Way Coun- try Club, both in Port Char- lotte. He also maintained mem- berships in the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and Char- lotte County Dental Society. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his widow, Denise (Manes) Willis; three children, Brett M., Regina L. and Lanette K., all of Port Charlotte; three brothers, Mark E., Pease Air Force Base, N.H.; Dean N., Madison, Ct; and Paul L., Dexter; and three sisters , Sheryl A. Cran- dall, Bowie, Md.; Elaine M. Morin, New England, Ct.; and Robin L. Willis of Portland. Mass was said Nov. 29 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Port Charlotte.
