RALPH EDWARD CLUKEY DOVER-FOXCROFT — Ralph Edward Clukey, 82, died Wed- nesday at a local hospital after a long illness. He was born in Sangerville, June 12, 1886, the son of Paul and Mary (Ronco) Clukey. At the age of 12, he worked at the woolen mill in North Dexter. For a time, he operated a grocery store in Dexter with his brother, Harry. He later worked for Ramsey and Gates Under- takers in Dexter. In 1911, he went to work for the Maine Central Railroad as conductor and yardmaster at Northern Maine Junction, retiring in 1957. He is survived by four sons, Clarence of Bangor, Andrew of Garland, Clyde of Presque Isle, Philip of West Buxter; six daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Ben- nett of Guilford Center, Mrs. Joseph (Marion) Drummond of Sangerville, Mrs. Edward (Lil- lian) Colby of Newport, N. H., Mrs. Jessie (Beatrice) Lindsay of Guilford, Mrs. Oscar (Treasa) Urdahl of Freemont, Calif., Mrs. Carl (Eleanor) Merrill of Abbot Village; four brothers, Harry of Waterville, Delphis of Dexter, Roy of Sang- erville, Albert of Dexter; three sisters, Mrs. Alice .Ronco of Framingham, Mass., Mrs. James (Annie) Howell of Dex- ter, Mrs. Therin (Abbie) Micue of Clinton; 36 grandchildren and 86 great-grandchildren.
