MRS. SADIE FELLOWS DEXTER—Mrs. Sadie Fel- lows, 80, died Tuesday after- noon at a Monson nursing home after a long illness. She was born Feb. 23, 1888, at St. Albans, the daughter of Walter and Bertha (Smith) Hil- ton. She started teaching school at the age of 16 and taught in St. Albans, Palmyra and Dex- ter, both rural and urban gram- mar schools. She held a life teaching certificate. She and her husband, who was a barber in Dexter for over 40 years, formerly resided in Guilford, moving to Dexter in 1914. She was a member of the Dexter Pythian Sisters, and held membership in the Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge, Wassookeag Chapter, 0. E. S, the Dexter Women's Literary Club, the Universalist Ladies Aid of Dexter, and St. Albans and Dexter Granges. She worked in a tailor's shop in this area for a time and worked at Sewing-In in area woolen mills, retiring at the age of 59. She is survived by a son, Samuel W. Fellows of here; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Crosby Funeral Home here, with the Rev. John F. J. Mc- Nally Jr., of the Universalist Church officiating. Spring burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery here.
