Obituary	HAROLD RUSSELL Harold Alonzo Russell ,Sr., 70, died Wednesday at a Dexter hos- pital after a long illness. He was born May 9, 1896 at Exeter, the son of Alonzo and Abbie(Elliott) Russell. At an early age, following the death of his father, he went to live with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Russell of Exe- ter. He was educated in the schools there. He married Gladys Melvin in 1918 and they settled in Dexter. Upon returning from the Army, they moved to North Newport. In l940 they moved to Corinna. He was retired from the Snow- flake Canning Co. and was a member of the American Legion here. Besides his widow, he is sur- vived by three sons, Harold A. Jr. of Ripley; F. Allen of Walling- Eord, Conn. and Irvin L. of Floris- sant, Mo.; seven daughters, Mrs. Ruby Parady of Richmond, Va., Mrs. Doris Elkins of Englewood, Calif., Mrs. Bertha 0'Roa.k of Sau- gus, Calif., Mrs. Beatrice Pipes of Richmond, Mrs. Alice Belgard of Delair, N. J., Mrs. Arlene Batchel- der of Palmyra and Mrs. Marian Ir- ish, Corinna; 33 grandchildren; Nine great-grandchildren; one sis- ter, Mrs. Irving Harris of Millinoc- ket; several nieces nephews and cousins.
