HAROLD POMROY Riverside,Calif. -S-Sgt. Harold Edwin Pomroy, 43, of 140 Bangor Street, Augusta, died unexpectedly at the March AFB Hospital, Thursday. He was born in Dexter, Jan. 24, 1924, the son of Ralph and Helen (McCarthy) Pomroy. He was a member of the Green Street Methodist Church in Augusta, and had been em- ployed by the Hudson Pulp and .Paper Co. for three years as a fireman. S-Sgt. Pomroy was a career soldier, serving 20 years in theU. S. Marine Corp. He had been in Korea three times as a military advisor, and had worked in Augusta for four years as a Marine recruiter. He was a member of the Fitz- gerald-Cummings American Le- gion Post of Augusta. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Leora (Jackson) Pomroy, of Augusta; two sisters, Mrs. Phylis Anderson of Brunswick and Miss Karen Pomroy of Corinna; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Plum- mer Funeral Home, Inc., 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, Tuesday night and Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Ar- lingtori National Cemetery.
