ELMER J. EASLER DEXTER, Elmer J. Easler, 93, died February 19, 2007, at his home in Dexter. He was born April 24, 1913, in Washburn, son of Freeman and Emma (Flewelling) Easler. He was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dexter where he served as the Head Deacon (and maintained the facility) until he was no longer able to do so. For many years he owned and operated a dairy farm in Dexter. He also worked as a truck driver for Charles Starbird, and was a school bus driver. His love of family showed whenever his family would gather, and he was able to attend the 56th Easler reunion last August, where he was the oldest in attendance. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Priscilla (Cheney) Easler of Dexter; 2 sons and their wives, Dale and Jeanette Easler of Dexter, and Wendall and Sarah Easler of Florida; three daughters and their husbands, Elaine and James McDaniel of Florida, Betty and Gayland Bennett of Dexter, and Valerie and Robert MacDonald of Wiscasset; 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Doris (Easler) Lambert; and a daughter, Shirley Easler. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street in Dexter with Pastor Arnold Schnell officiating. Spring burial will be in the South Sangerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church, P.O.
