Obituary
LEO E. MURPHY DEXTER - Leo E. Murphy, 77, died April 16, 2003, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 22, 1925, in Fort Fairfield, son of George and Pheobe (Gray) Murphy. Leo served in the US Navy during WWII and worked for the Town of Dexter for 34 years. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church and was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by daughters, Rosanna and her husband, Terry Higgins, Kathy and her husband, Joe Getchell, Bonny and her husband, Ken Chadwick, Julie Murphy, Brenda Mayhew, Laurie Murphy, Paula and her husband, Bob Bailey, Tina and her husband, Dale White; and a son, Donald Murphy; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Tony and his wife Gloria Poulin; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara A. (Poulin) Murphy; a brother and his wife, George and Irene Murphy and a sister and her husband, Mary and Harry Bustard. Friends may call 6-8 PM Saturday, April 19, 2003, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Dexter. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 AM Monday, April 21, 2003, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter with Rev. Raymond Morancy officiating. Burial will be at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter later in the spring.
