Obituary	CYNTHIA (DAY) HUNT DEXTER - Cynthia (Day) Hunt, 51, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly Feb. 24, 2003 at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 2, 1951, in Dexter, the daughter of Harry and Joanne (Knowles) Day. She graduated from Dexter Regional High School, Class of 1969, and attended Husson College in 1981 after traveling around the country and Scotland while her husband was in the Marines. She enjoyed travel but wanted to be back home with her family. After returning to Maine, she worked many years as a substitute teacher in the Dexter public schools. In 1988, Cindy began her postal service career in Dexter. During her 15 years, she served at Guilford, Exeter, West Forks and Monson prior to becoming Postmaster of Cambridge, later transferring to Harmony in 2002. Cindy was known for her outgoing personality and wonderful sense of humor. She had a contagious laugh that will never be forgotten. She loved gardening, fishing, golfing, traveling, scrapbooking and summers by her pool. Her main enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends. She always put the needs of others before the needs of herself and she touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She is survived by her parents of Dexter; her husband, Richard Hunt of Dexter; two daughters, Kimberly Hunt of Dexter and Amy and her husband, Lincoln Morin, of Waterville; three brothers, Brent and his wife, Kathy Day, of Dexter and their children, Eric and Katie, Bruce and his wife, Vicki Day, of St. Albans and their children, Donnie and Spencer, and Robert Day of Swanville and his children, Christopher, Nicholas and Matthew. Cindy was predeceased by her nephew, Travis Day. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 28, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Dexter. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Free Baptist Church, Dexter, with the Rev. William Walters officiating. Spring burial will be in Mount. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Memorial donations may be made to the Travis Day Memorial Scholarship Fund, care of Dexter Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 233, Dexter, ME 04930. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
