Prominent Dexter Man Dead At 87 Dexter - Otis J. Roberts, Sr., 87, died Sunday morning at his home on the Dover Road following a long illness. He was born at Belgrade, March 5, 1877, son of Otis and Louise (Hussey) Roberts. He was a resident of Dexter for 50 years. For the past 42 years he had been a retail milk dealer in the Dexter, Dover and Garland area. Mr. Roberts served five terms in the State Legislature. He was a 45-year member of South San- gerville Grange, a member of Piscataquis Pomona Grange, a member of Plymouth Odd Fel- lows Lodge of Dexter, the Dex- ter Fish and Game Association, the Farm Bureau and the Re- publican Town Committee. He was also a trustee of the Dexter School District. He is survived by his widow, Alice (Jackson) Roberts; two sons, Otis, Jr., and Omar, both of Dexter; a brother, Winfield Roberts of Bangor; five grand- children, four great-grandchil- dren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Cros- by Funeral Home here Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9; P. M. Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Dexter Meth- odist Church with the Rev. John Meisner of Dover-Foxeroft offi- ciating.
