Obituary	A. F. Hutchinson Dies In New Jersey Albert Fletcher Hutchinson, prominent former resident of Dexter, died suddenly late Tuesday, following an operation in Plainfield, N. J. He was supervisor of safety and insurance in the Calco Chemical Division of the American Cyananrid Co., Bridgewater, N. J. Surviving relatives are his widow, the former Miss Kathleen Littemore of Concord, N. H.; his mother, Mrs. Forrest L. Hutchinson of Dexter; and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Grant of Silver's Mills, Mrs. H. C. Mace of Elliot, and Douglass Wiggett of Braintree, Vt. Born 60, years ago in S. Sangerville, Mr. Hutchinson was graduated from the U. of M. in 1915 and began his career in the rubber industry before joining the Army in World War I, in which he was a 2nd lieutenant in the Medical Corps. After another period in the rubber industry he joined the Factory Mutual Insurance Co. in 1921. In 1933 he began his long service with Calco as fire protection engineer, rising to safety director in 1935. His later duties included supervision of workmen's compensation, employment insurance, medical benefits, hospital and life insurance and labor negotiations. He was prominent nationally in the industrial and insurance field. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, Penobscot Lodge, and Aleppo Temple of the Shrine in Boston, Mr. Hutchinson was active in Bridgewater civic affairs, including Boy Scout and safety work. He was also one of the leading bridge players in the East.
