MRS. BRADLEY C. HOPKINS Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the residence on the Ripley road for Mrs. Gertrude (Rowe) Hopkins, 73, widow of Bradley C. Hopkins. She died last Thursday at a Bangor hospital after several weeks of failing health preceded by a fall at her home. The Rev. J. Robert Bath, minister of the First Universalist Church, officiated. Interment was in the family lot at Mount Pleasant cemetery. Bearers were: Eugene Swanton, Adrian Robinson, Harold and Maurice Nutter, Albert McKusick and Fred Tibbetts, all of this town. Mrs. Hopkins was born in Brooks, March 12, 1880, daughter of Benjamin and Hattie (Gibbs) Rowe. A resident of Dexter for 43 years, she was a member of the Congregational Church, the Gleaners, the Universalist Ladies' Aid, Dexter Grange and the Senior Extension Group. She is survived by two sons, Horace and Hadley, both of Dexter; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Louise White, Hingham, Mass., several nieces and nephews. Among relatives here for the services were Mrs. White and son, Harry, Hingham, Mass., Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Gibbs, Bangor; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hopkins of Hartland.
