Obituary	Services Held For ‘Mac',Dean Of Barbers Another of Dexter's business men, George E. McIntire, 74, died Friday at a Bangor hospital fol- lowing several days' illness. He had conducted a barber shop in this town for 55 years, and was working several days prior to his death. Funeral services were held Sun- day afternoon at the First Bap- tist Church with the Rev. A. Al- lan Brough officiating. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Bearers were: Clyde Lee, Jay Curtis, Hugh Hutchins, Albert La- gasse, John Knowles and Omar Roberts. Honorary bearers were: Nathan C. Bucknam, Walter L. Butterfield and Otis J. Roberts, Sr., all of this town. Mr. McIntire was born in Char- leston, May 15, 1879, son of An- drew and Mary McIntire. He was a member of Dexter Grange. He is survived by his widow, Mertie McIntire; one brother, Wil- liam, of Dover-Foxcroft; several nieces and nephews.
