FRANK D. SPRUCE Funeral services for Frank D. Spruce, 69, who died Saturday at The Plummer Memorial Hospital after several weeks' illness, were held at the home on Maple street Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Jos- eph Clare, pastor of the Methodist Church offciated, assisted by the Rev. T. A. Webb of the Universalist Church. Bearers were: Ernest Getchell, Stanley H. Field, Raymond Whit- ney, all of Dexter; and Ora B. Stev- ens of Old Town. Interment was in the Bradley Village cemetery. Mr. Spruce was born in Bradley, March 4, 1882, the son of Fred P. and Lucy Bell Spruce. He lived in Old Town for a time but had made His home in Dexter for 23 years and was employed by W. L. Butter- field, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Haney Spruce; a son, Fran- cis D. Spruce, Miami, Fla; three grandchildren; two brothers, Allen Spruce of 0rono and Harold L. Spruce of Bradley; four sisters, Mrs. Nora Moulton, Mrs. Vena Pow- ers, both of Bradley, Mrs. Nettie Shannon of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Jennie Butterfield of Dex- ter; several nieces and nephews.
