MRS. LILLIAN SMALL Mrs. Lillian M. Small, 92, widow of Samuel L. Small, died Wednes- day noon at a local convalescent home, after many years of failing health. She was born in Corinna, Aug. 20, 1860, daughter of James Dwight and Sylvia (Ellis) Maxfield. The family moved to Dexter when she was very young, and she has lived most of her life here. A mem- ber of the First Universalist Church, she started singing in the choir when 16 years of age continuing over a period of time during which she also was soloist. She is survived by one son, Har- old D.; one daughter, Mrs. Marion Haseltine, both of Dexter, one grandson, Arthur Haseltine; three granddaughters, Miss Ruth Hasel- tine, Mrs. Helen Wilkins, all of this town, Mrs. Evelyn Korbly of Boston, Mass., and three great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Fri- day at 2 p. m. at at the Crosby Funeral Home. The Rev. J. Robert Bath of The First Universalist Church will officiate. The body will be placed in the tomb and interment will take place this spring at Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
