Obituary	JEPTHA BANE Jeptha Bane, 85, died Wednes- day afternoon at the Cushman Convalescent Home following a long illness. Funeral services will be at the Crosby Funeral Home, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Walter Wakeman of the First Baptist Church officiat- ing. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. He was born in Ripley, July 7, 1870, the son of Hiram and Myra (Harmon) Bane. For many years he was engaged in farming until ill health obliged him to retire and make his home with his son J. Marshall Bane of Dexter, who survives him. He is also survived by three grandchildren and four great grand- children as well as nieces and nephews. The remains are at the Crosby Funeral Home where friends may Call from 2 until 4 o'clock and From 7 until 9.
