Services Held For Jesse Hoyt Funeral services were held Sun- day afternoon at the Crosby Fu- neral Home in Dexter for Jesse W. Hoyt, 81, a prominent Granger, who died Friday morning at the Plummer Memorial Hospital after a long illness. The Rev. Howard E. Benson of the Methodist Church officiated. The Odd Fellows and the Grange attended in groups. Honrary bearers were: Edward Clifford, Earl L. Crowell, Homer Wilbur and Vernon Jewell, all of Dexter. The remains were placed in the funeral home vault to await spring burial at Mt. Pleasant Cem- etery, Dexter. Mr. Hoyt was born in Ripley, Nov. 19, 1877, son of William and Florence (Additon) Hoyt. He mar- ried Flossie G. Jose 56 years ago and their entire married life has been spent on their farm on the Corinna road. He had been a member of Dex- ler Grange for 59 years, and was, also a member of East Somerset Pomona and the state and national granges. He served as State Grange Deputy for 12 years. For three years, he served on the Dexter board of selectmen; was a member of the Dexter Me- thodist Church, and Plymouth Lodge No 65, 1. 0. 0. F. Surviving besides his widow, Mrs. Flossie (Jose) Hoyt, are three, sisters, Mrs. Josephine Kim- ball of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Bertha Haseltine of Ripley and Mrs. Louise Robinson of Dexter and many nieces and nephews.
