MRS. JOSIE- (STEVENS) BURNARD BELFAST, June 3- Mrs. Josie (Stevens) Burnard. 80, died Wed- nesday in a local convalescent home after a long illness. Mrs. Burnard was born in Ban- gor November 24, 1868, the daugh- ter of Samuel L. and ,Abigail (Tib- betts) Steven. She lived most of her life in the Dexter area. For the past five years she lived In Belfast. She was a member of the Essex Street Baptist Church of Bangor and was a 5o-year-member of Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge, Dexter. With her husband, the late Jo- eseph Burnard, she operated the Fay-Scott Inn in Dexter for 25 years. Surviving are a half sister, Mrs. Herbert Stevens of Belfast; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Edwin Bur- nard of Washington. D. C.; a grandson, Steven Avery Burnard, Mount Holly, N. J.; four great grandchildren Funeral services are to be held from Coombs Funeral Horne in Belfast Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. David E. Wigley of the Belfast First Church officiat- ing. Burial is to be at Mount Plea- sant Cemetery, Dexter.
