GLADYS M. TARR DEXTER – Gladys M. Tarr, 93, went to be with the Lord, January 28, 2006 after a brief illness. She was born December 7, 1912 at Sangerville a daughter of Eugene and Lottie (McKenney) Hall. She attended Sangerville schools and worked at Fay & Scott Machine Shop and Hall’s Canning Factory during World War II. Gladys retired from Dexter Company in 1974. She was a member of the Charleston Pentecostal Church. Gladys is survived by 2 sons, Donald and wife Linda of Unity, and Richard of Waterville; 2 daughters, Phyllis and husband Philip Cleaves of Dexter, and Sharon Vigue of Winslow; 2 sisters, Inez Newman of Mass. and Arlene Giles of Dexter; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 5 P.M. Tuesday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter, where funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, February 1st, with the Rev. Ronnie Libby officiating. Spring burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Family and friends are invited for light refreshments and conversation at the First Free Baptist Church, 130 Spring Street, Dexter, following the funeral.
