Obituary	Eliza A. Steward Mrs. Eliza A. Steward passed away at her home on Free street at 2.20 P. M. Thursday Jan. 21, 1926. She was born in Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland, Jan. 8, 1843, coming to this country when seven years of age, and has resided in Dexter forty-one years. She was a member of the Third Congregational church, French street, Bangor for fifty years. She was a home loving woman, happy in caring for those who needed her. A daughter, Marjorie, who passed away Jan. 8, 1905, and her husband, Eber L., Mar. 31, 1918. She has made a host of friends, who miss her gentle spirit and courageous attitude shown through the last three years of patient suffering, knowing through all these years that there was no cure, yet always smiling and cheerful though the days and nights were full of pain. Her daughter, Ethel Greene Coffin, has been very devoted to her throughout her long illness and the following words express her great love for her mother: God was very good to me, When from the world of mothers, He chose for me the "dearest one." the World of Mothers, he chose for me the "Dearest one." The memorial service was held at her late home on Free street, Sunday at 2.30 P. M., Rev. Clifford V. Cross, of the Congregational church of this town, officiating. The bearers were: Galen Ramsey, Clarence Crosby, Millard Otto and Leroy Davis.
