Obituary	HARL S. RUSSELL Harl S. Russell, who died in New York on Feb. 7, was born in Dexter in 1890, the son of Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Russell. His mother was Lizzie Barns of Newport. After graduating from Dexter High School, he went to Orono before going to New York. (The Eastern Gazette 2-12-1953, p.2) HARL L. RUSSELL Harl L. Russell, who died suddenly on Feb. 8, was born in Dexter, April 2, 1889, the son of Manville and Lizzie (Barnes) Russell. He was a graduate of Dexter High School and of the U of M. in Orono. He worked for the Boston & Maine R. R. as draftsman until he entered World War I and was overseas till the close of the war. Then for a time he was with the N. Y. Central R. R. Then he had a business of his own. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Kathryn Farlow of New York City; also his father, Manville Russell.
