MRS. ANNIE CLIFFORD Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home on the French's Mills road for Mrs. Annie Clifford, 69, who died early Sunday morning at a local hospital, after a short illness. The Rev. Joseph M. Clare of the Dexter Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in the family lot at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Widow of the late Henry Clifford, she was born in District No. 10, Dexter, Nov. 5, 1883, daughter of Frank and Emmeline (Ellis) Moore. She had lived in Pittsfield and Palmyra, but the greater part of her life was spent in Dexter. She was a member of the S. Sangerville Grange. Shortly after graduating from Dexter High School, she taught at the District No. 10 School and had also had teaching experience in Ripley and E. Dexter. Survivors are three sons, Ralph of Ashland, Robert of Fall's Church, Va., and Frank of Cincinnati, O.; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Martin, Sangerville; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Newcomb of Clinton.
