Obituary	Mrs. Horace (Frances L.) Jose died suddenly in Dexter, Sept. 20, 1889, aged 56 years, 7 months and 17 days. She was born in Dover, Me., and was the daughter of Hon. Mordacai Mitchell-a man of more than local reputation, having served his community as county commissioner, representative and national delegate. The Mitchells were a family highly esteemed and the deceased from her youth to her death was widely respected and beloved. She has lived eastward and westward during her busy life, but for over fifteen years her home has been in Dexter or its vicinity. Here her genial influence has reached a wide circle of friends who attested their regard by large attendance and fine floral offerings at her burial services, and who in their own lives will keep her memory green. An aged husband, with whom she had lived in happy unison for nearly seventeen years, and one daughter are the only members of her immediate family-one daughter having gone home before her. Mrs. Jose was for three years an invalid, during which time she held strong faith in Spiritualism.
