Obituary	JAMES ELDERKIN Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the First Free Baptist Church for James Elderkin, 59, who died Friday evening in a Dover-Foxcroft hospital after several weeks' illness. The Rev. Harold Wheeler of Brunswick, former pastor of the church, and the present pastor, the Rev. Donald Macomber, officiated. The remains were placed in the Mt. Pleasant receiving tomb. He was born in River Philip, N. S., Jan. 3, 1894, son of William and Marjorie (Paine) Elderkin. He became a resident of N. Dexter in 1919, then 12 years ago moved in town. Mr. Elderkin served in the Canadian Army in World War I, was a member of N. Dexter Grange, and attended the First Free Baptist Church here. He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Stevenson) Elderkin; two sons, J. Robert of LaCrescenta, Calif., and Harold R. of Dexter; three brothers, William, of N. Dexter, Oscar of Dexter and Otto of Avon, Conn.; two sisters, Mrs. May Clement of N. Dexter, and Mrs. Ida Smith of Reading, Mass., and two grandchildren.
