Obituary
Death of Nathaniel Dustin. Nathaniel Dustin, Esq., who for many years has been one of the most prominent and respected citizens of Dexter, was stricken Sunday night with paralysis of the throat. His condition rapidly grew worse until his death occurred about eight o'clock, Tuesday evening. To speak of what Mr. Dustin was, is needless to any who have ever known him. He had a clear head and a kind heart, and always said just what he meant. There was no undertow in his dealings with men. He was an energetic worker, and had fine financial ability, and his judgment in matters of business was much relied on. Mr. Dustin came to Dexter from New Hampshire, in 1836 and went to work in the Farrar mill, now the Stone mill. About 1845 he went into trade, continuing in business until 1884. His funeral occurred yesterday, Rev. J. R. Clifford officiating. The Masonic Fraternity of which he had long been a member consigned him to the grave with Masonic honors. He will long be remembered in Dexter with kindness and respect, and all will unite in saying "a good man has gone."
