MISS CARLEY J. GALLAGHER Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan 4 in Portland for Miss Carley Jean Gallagher, 21, who died suddenly Jan. 2 at her residence, 25 Crescent street. Interment was in Forest City Cemetery. The Rev. Bernard Harminger of the Chestnut Street Methodist Church officiated. Miss Gallagher was born in Dexter, April 2, 1931, daughter of Jerry J. and Lily Sharpe Gallagher. She was educated in Dexter and Garland schools and at Portland High School, from which she was graduated in 1950. She had been employed recently by the Burrowes Corporation. She was a former member of the Junior Rossini Club and the choir of the Chestnut Street Methodist Church. Besides her parents, she is survived by three brothers, Ralph of Dublin, N. H., John of Houston, Tex., and the Rev. Richard Gallagher of Nashville, Tenn; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Kobritz of East Corinth, Mrs. Helen Levesque of S. Portland and Miss Joan Gallagher of Portland, and several nieces and nephews.
