Obituary
Mrs. Mary B. Wood Mrs. Mary Buckley Wood, widow of the late Henry L. Wood, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. H. Mudgett, Thursday, Aug. 30. Mrs. Wood was born in Saddleworth, Yorkshire county, England, July 22, 1833. She came to this country at the beginning of her married life, living in Massachusetts a few years, and has been a resident of Dexter 48 years. She is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. Oliver Crosby, of St. Paul, Minn., Stanley Wood, also of St. Paul, Mrs. D. H. Mudgett and Mrs. Elmer Weymouth of this town. She was a devoted member of the Church of the Messiah and her quiet unobstrusive piety and her many acts of unselfish kindness will linger long in the memory of her numerous friends. The sweet influence of such a life is a rebuke to selfishness and an inspiration to noble living. The funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Church of the Messiah, Archdeacon Geo. S. Robinson of Winn officiating. Music was furnished by the choir, assisted by Mrs. Helen Winslow Potter. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Interment was at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. The sympathy of her many friends is extended to the bereaved family.
