Obituary	MRS. WILLIS NlCHOLS Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home for Mrs. Jennie Crowell Nichols, 80, widow of Willis Nichols. A former school teacher, and one who was active in all civic affairs of the town as long as her health allowed, she died Oct. 9, the home of her daughter, Mrs. Everett Robinson, Old Newport road, after a long illness. The Rev. Joseph M. Clare of the Methodist Church officiated. Bearers were three grandsons, Ernest, Darro and Quentin Robinson and Basil Clark. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. She was born in Dexter, Dec. 2, 1871, daughter of Hosea and Lavonia B. Crowell. She was educated in the Dexter schools, attended Farmington Normal School and taught for 23 terms in Wytopitlock and in the Dexter area. She was a member of Dexter Grange, serving as lecturer for several years. In former years she was active in civic affairs serving on the Republican town committee. She attended the Methodist Church and was a member of the choir. Mrs. Nichols is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Everett Robinson, Mrs. Irving Wentworth of St. Albans and Mrs. Ralph McKusick, Dexter; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
